One of the Moonlight brothers and Housen's officers. The Moonlight brothers were afraid that King Joe had become soft or was afraid of Suzuran, so they put pressure on him to move, all that was needed was a spark.
Mitsumasa didn't really take part in the war against Suzuran. He showed up for the last battle and wanted to fight against Tsukushima Hana but King Joe said that he was useless and put Daisuke Matsuo to fight in his place even with Mitsumasa being the strongest freshmen, he protest but his older brothers stood with King Joe.
He met Hana in the battlefield in the all out war that followed and said that as he was aiming to become the leader of Suzuran, he would also aim to become the leader of Housen and they would met in the future.
As King Joe was going to graduated he passed the baton to the Moonlight brothers, Mitsunobu the Mitsuyoshi decided that Mitsumasa should be the next leader.

Not everyone was supporting him, he later realized with Tominaga Toranosuke's help that he got it to easy, King Joe started alone and destroyed Bitou brothers rule over Housen, and that he had to destroy King Joe's empire and start his own. He then challenged King Joe to a fight.
He led Housen in the war against the Amachi Army and went only with Daisuke, Ono Teruki and Ootani Ken to their base when Miura Satoru discovered the location, it was a trap but they managed to beat all their army. They were followed by the Hana-gumi who showed up to fight by the cops arrived soon and they had to run.
Mitsumasa later dealt with Miura. They knew he wouldn't betrayal his friends for nothing so they forgave him after getting even.
Mitsumasa was later asked by Murata Shougo to help in the war against Manji Empire, and he was one of the seven fighters from Toarushi that faced the Manji Seven in Machida.
